1. Regulation of intestinal smooth muscle activity: Sishen Wan in vitro experiments against barium chloride-induced intestinal smooth muscle spasm; Sishen pill significantly inhibited spontaneous intestinal movement,can also antagonize acetylcholine-induced intestinal smooth muscle contraction.
2. Enhance the digestive system function: its composition drug Evodia can antagonize the excitatory effects of nicotine, physostigmine, acetylcholine, histamine, barium chloride, phentolamine, reserpine on isolated intestine, but also antagonize atropine and Epinephrine on isolated rabbit intestine; decoction oral mice can significantly reduce the number of irritating diarrhea caused by senna; Evodia can also slow the normal mouse gastrointestinal propulsion.
